MEMORY #1

As we prepare to leave London, I'll be uploading some Voice Memos I've taken over the past semester.  Here's Mem #1.

Introducing LATIMER

Latimer road trips to the woods.

In addition classes where we get to field trip around London, each of us interns at least 20 hours a week at a London business. We commute, work in a British office and truly experience the "British life & culture" outside the classroom.

VIDEO!

Filmed & edited this video over two months ago. We finally had the bandwith to upload it, so I hope you enjoy! More videos from Scotland, Spring Break, and us in tip-top shape to come.

BRICK LANE: Street Art

Street art, unlike graffiti, has a political or social message. Rather than vandalising the building, it works with the space. In our British Life & Culture class, we took a field trip around Brick Lane. Some of the best street artists in the world operate in the area. Stik & Banksy are my favorite.  Check out some of what we saw:

A St. Paddy's Weekend

Guinnesstaches

Hello, family & friends! Many apologies from the four of us for neglecting to blog lately. To make up for it, I will attempt to post about all the trips we've taken. My flatmates might pitch in a post or two, too (hopefully!).

To begin, our most recent trip was to Ireland for St. Patrick's Day weekend. Shelby, Sierra, our friend Allison & I headed out to Dublin last Thursday (14/3). We traveled with WSA - Weekend Student Adventures - which is hosted by Andy Steves, Rick Steves' son.

We're Alive!

Hi we are alive & sorry for not blogging the past month. Happy March! It's been rainy here in Barcelona for the last leg of our Spring Break trip. We'll be posting more about our separate adventures soon!
Love,
Shelby & Kerri

BLOOMBERG

Shelby & Raquel not stoked for Bloomberg.
Business journalism isn't our cup of journalism tea, so we were skeptical about this week's field trip to the Bloomberg London offices.
The moment we entered the lobby (early for the first time!), that started to change. I managed to snipe this pic before being warned about the no-photo policy. The lobby had swanky seating, sweet lights, and free magazines. Sure, it was Bloomberg Business Week, but we always appreciate free magazines.
